Samson in 1982, (g)nathos, inc. provides continuing orthodontic education to health professionals who are seeking an increased level of sophistication in the delivery of orthodontic care for their patients. Gerald Samson is a 1975 graduate of Marquette University Dental School. He completed pediatric dental residency in 1979 at Emory University under the direction of Dr. Ed. Hibbard. He went on to complete an orthodontic residency in 1981 under the direction of Dr. Harold T. Perry at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
From 1981 until 1987, Gerry Sampson was an Assistant Professor at Emory University in Atlanta. His teaching responsibilities in the Division of Craniofacial Development - Department of Orthodontics included post-doctoral seminars in craniofacial osteology and physiology; craniofacial growth and development; historical and contemporary literature review; and the clinical application of Ricketts Analysis, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment planning and clinical biomechanics design.
In 1987, Dr. Samson was named Director of the Institute for Bioprogressive Education, The Ricketts School of the Southeastern United States by Dr. Robert M. Ricketts. Dr. Samson has lectured extensively and is a Diplomat of The American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of The American College of Dentists. He has been a featured speaker for numerous regional, national and international meetings including the annual sessions of The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO); The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry; The Foundation for Orthodontic Research (F.O.R.); The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists; The University of California at San Francisco Orthodontic Alumni; The Nebraska Association of Orthodontists; The Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry; The Australian Orthodontic Society - Queensland and New South Wales.
Eric Lowenhaupt, DDS
Eric B. Lowenhaupt, D.D.S. is a Board Certified Orthodontist who attended Florida State University for undergraduate studies and Emory University for his dental and Orthodontic specialty training. He completed a general practice residency after graduation from dental school and practiced general dentistry for five years before returning for his graduate orthodontic training. Since 1986 he has been in private practice in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in Jupiter, Florida. He treats a variety of patients in his private practice from children to adults but has a special interest in growth and development and in the treatment of the growing patient. He lectures both nationally and internationally through his affiliation with (G)nathos and (G)nathos South. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry at the University of Alabama Dental School and a consultant for the VA Hospital.
Orthodontist
